My Library Account will let you:
Your student card or Working at Mac card is your library card. Present your card with the items you wish to check out at the Library Services Desk at any McMaster Library, or at one of our self check-out machines.
Loan Periods:

| Reciprocal Borrowers | 28 days |

| Alumni / External Borrowers | 28 days | Limit of 40 items and 2 online renewals per item (excludes reserve materials) |
Fines
You can be fined for keeping a book when another user has recalled it, or when you keep an item on reserve too long. We'll also charge you the replacement cost of a book or other items if you never return it.

McMaster University Libraries supports the McMaster Community Fridge by offering our users a unique alternative to paying your recall or short term library fine - you can now pay with nonperishable food items.
For every item of nonperishable food item you bring in we will lower your recall or reserve fine by $4.00.
