How Do I Find McMaster Business Working Papers?

A guide to the working papers produced by McMaster's DeGroote School of Business and affiliated research centres.

  1.  Look up the working paper in MacSphere, McMaster's institutional repository

    Search by keyword(s) (e.g. jain business working paper) 
    or
    Browse by:  
    • Series i.e., on the MacSphere home page, go to the Communities in MacSphere box and select Departments and Schools  > select DeGroote School of Business > select DeGroote School of Business Working Papers > select DeGroote School of Business Working Paper
      • Working papers published AFTER 1992/93 are titled Research and working paper series (Michael G. DeGroote School of Business)
      • Working papers published BEFORE 1992/93 are titled Research and working paper series (McMaster University. Faculty of Business)
    • Publication Date e.g. 1987
    • Author e.g. Adams, Roy J.
    • Title e.g. Gender divisions in Turkey's labour market
    • Subject e.g. Decision support systems
       
  2. The working papers are open access and can be viewed and/or downloaded by anyone. When viewing the record for an item, click the View/Open button to display the full-text of the working paper in PDF format.
     
  3. If a particular DSB working paper is missing in MacSphere, try searching for the title in Google (or another Internet search engine) to determine if the working paper has been published.
  • If the paper has been published and access is not open, look up the title in Omni to see whether the full-text is available through McMaster libraries. If the paper is not available, submit a request in Omni to get it from another library.
     
  • If the paper has not been published, try contacting the original author(s) to request a copy of the working paper. Try using the DSB Faculty Areas directory for author contact information.
