AEDs can save lives.
These devices make it possible for bystanders to react to a medical emergency. In this case, where defibrillation is required, usually when an individal experiences a sudden cardiac arrest.
Most AEDs are portable, they emit clear-voice prompts as well as have simple, visual instructions.
They can be used by anyone. First aid training is not essential.
When cardiac events occur, the victims have no warning and neither do their family, friends, colleagues or teammates. When it happens, the person collapses, becomes unconscious, does not have a pulse and stops breathing.
Time is precious and the only way to revive someone in this condition is by applying the AED pads to the victim’s chest and letting the AED analyze their heartbeat. If the heartbeat is found to be irregular, a shock may be advised.
This shock is the ONLY WAY to return the heartbeat back to a normal rhythm.
This device will enable someone without medial training to save a life.
