About Continuing Education

As you embark on this journey to become part of the Continuing Education family, it is important for you to be aware of our values, vision and mission to ensure that we all work in collaboration together towards the same goal.

Values

The starting point for any organization is clear articulation of what it stands for - its values. The values that McMaster Centre for Continuing Education has identified for the next five years include the following:

  • Respect: We are empathetic in our relationships including our relationships with students and partners. We hear everyone's view and recognize that people have different needs and come from different perspectives.
  • Integrity/Fairness/Consistency: We do what we say and say what we mean. We are accountable for our actions.
  • Inclusiveness: We are sensitive and aware of others. We consult appropriately before making decisions. We look for opportunities for collaboration.
  • Caring and Helpful Attitude: We support each other and are proactive in seeking ways to help our students, instructors and clients.
  • Professionalism: We act ethically and exceed expectations and standards.

Vision

To be a leader in continuing education through accessible programs and superior learning experiences for professionals, individuals and communities.
